Interview for Emirates Airlines: dream career :)

So as I promissed, here is a feedback from the Emirates Airlines interview which took place in Kyiv, Ukraine on March, 10th. Actually, this story is very short because I didn’t get even to the second part of the interview. Still, those, who are interested in this job will find some helpful info reading each feedback, even the shortest. I know that  because that’s what I was doing before the interview – surfing the internet for any info.
So the morning started from preparing to the interview: ironing blouse and a skirt, making a donut-bun hairstyle and make-up. When I came to the hotel where the interview took place I saw like 100 people there. That was not an Open day but the CV submission. So we needed to be registered before through our agencies. Some of my friends who applied for this position through the Emirates website didn’t get the invitation. So try to find some agency who will help you to register for the interview. NOTE: agencies don’t get money from you, they get their % from the company they look people for, so if you’re asked to pay any money for coming to the interview – that’s cheating. So a guy from one of agencies held a list where our names where. We had to give the CVs with our photos to him and to fill some info for a company on forms. Then we took our sits in the conference room and the HRs came. They couldn’t provide any slideshow to us because their luggage with their laptops were lost in Frankfurt so they were just telling us a story about Emirates Airlines. Then people who had any questions started to ask them about different things. Right after that we were asked to come one by one to the HRs and reach the 212 cm poster and then a short interview. As I reached the 212 and even more on Qatar Airways interview I was not worrying about that thing any more so I just came to the sticker and tried to reach the top of it -  and wwhooah! I hardly could reach it! That means that they stick their poster higher that 212, like 218 or more. So people like me with 160 cm height can’t reach it even if they have long arms. I thought that HR liked me because she was trying to help me to reach the top of sticker, telling me to stand closer and closer to the wall and then said: “just on”. That didn’t sound good for me. Anyway, I sat at the chair and she started to ask me some questions about my working experience and about some difficult customers. Then we were asked to leave the room and wait in the hall, we spent their around 2 hours waiting. After that HRs invited us again and gave us the envelopes where we found info about success or failure. As they don’t give any feedbacks, I think I was denied because of my height. I’ll tell you more about it in the next story about the second Qatar Airways interviewJ
It’s very hard to join the Emirates Airlines, only 2 of 134 who came on that day passed all the stages. But if this story will help you a bit, that means I don’t waste my time writing all thisJ
Good luck! God bless!
